Our remit covers six specific disease and condition areas of national and local priority where major health challenges and inequalities exist.
GMEC SCNs comprises of six networks (the first four of which are national priorities) including Cancer, Cardiovascular, Mental Health, Dementia & Neurological, and Maternity, Children & Young People, Patients, Carers and Public and Palliative & End of Life Care.

The programme focuses on the societal change to talking openly about death, dying, enabling end of life care planning and delivering high quality care for those recognised to be dying.

The network covers cardiac, stroke, renal, diabetes and vascular services with each work stream led by a senior clinician and supported by the strategic network team.
