North West Anticipatory Clinical Management Planning Guidance including Do Not Attempt Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (DNACPR)

The North West Strategic Clinical networks and the North West Ambulance Service have worked in collaboration with key stakeholders to develop updated guidance to support practitioners around anticipatory clinical management planning discussions and decision making

The guidance also gives advice on ‘Do Not Attempt Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation’, communicating and documenting discussions and acknowledging the importance of people in decisions about the treatment they receive.

You can find the guidance and supporting materials attached below to this page.

This guidance applies to all the multi-professional health, social and tertiary care teams involved in a person’s care aged 18 years and over and across the range of settings within the North West.
